Jal Smruti Foundation

Jal Smruti Foundation

India
Jal Smruti Foundation is a grassroots movement committed to restoring India’s natural balance — its Sujalaam Sufalaam spirit — through tree planting and farmer-led regeneration.

Our mission: to plant 60,000 trees ( in 5000 lots) on farmlands across India and help farmers transition to sustainable, profitable practices. We provide farmers with native saplings, training, and financial support to care for each tree, and we track every planting to ensure transparency and long-term success.

In partnership with EcoForce Global, Jal Smruti Foundation connects environmental restoration with farmer wellbeing — making it easy for you to contribute meaningfully to climate action, rural livelihoods, and ecological repair.

India was once known as Sujalaam Sufalaam — a land of abundant water and rich greenery. But today, our overworked soils and depleted water tables tell a different story. The root cause? Years of chemical farming practices that have stripped the land of its vitality, forcing farmers into hardship and uncertainty. When we neglect nature, it’s our farmers who suffer most. They grow the food that nourishes us, yet they often lack the support to shift towards sustainable and regenerative farming. One of the most powerful ways to reverse this damage is by planting diverse, native tree species on farmland. Planting trees improves soil health, replenishes groundwater, supports biodiversity, and provides income opportunities — all without the need to cut down a single tree. But farmers often can’t afford the upfront cost of saplings or the time and care needed to establish them. That’s where you come in. By supporting this mission, you are not just planting a tree — you’re helping a farmer build a better, more resilient future. And through EcoForce Global, every tree is tracked and your impact is reported.

Mangarara - The Family Farm

Mangarara - The Family Farm

New Zealand
Nestled in the heart of Elsthorpe, Hawke’s Bay, Mangarara is a 610-hectare (1,500-acre) hill country farm that’s been lovingly cared for by the Hart family since 1990.

This unique landscape is a vibrant mosaic of lakes, wetlands, peat flats, rolling pasture, steep hills, and a mix of native and exotic trees. Like a living, breathing organism, the farm continues to grow and transform.

Over the past 15 years, that transformation has accelerated—towards a more connected, regenerative way of farming that nurtures both land and community.

We’d love to invite you further into our journey.

At Mangarara – The Family Farm, we are deeply committed to regenerating both land and community. Partnering with EcoForce Global to plant trees plays a vital role in this mission. It’s more than just planting trees—it’s about restoring balance, building resilience, and creating a thriving future for people and planet. Tree planting supports our goals in powerful ways: Regenerative Agriculture & Resilient Food Systems: Trees are integral to producing healthy, nutrient-rich food. Their roots improve soil structure, their presence supports biodiversity, and their shade helps protect animals and pasture. This all contributes to a profitable, regenerative farming model. *Restoring Ecosystems & Balancing Nature with Production: By planting native and food-producing trees, especially in partnership with EcoForce Global, we actively sequester carbon, enrich soil health, and enhance the natural ecosystems around us. This work is crucial for climate resilience and for restoring the vital connection between agriculture and nature. *Education, Connection & Inspiration: Through our Eco Lodge and educational experiences, visitors witness first-hand the transformational power of trees—not just for the environment, but for wellbeing, community, and our collective future. Partnering with EcoForce strengthens this offering, inspiring others to become part of the solution. *Building a Cooperative Community Model: Tree planting symbolizes our wider mission: working together with others—including organisations like EcoForce Global—to create a model of collaboration and stewardship. It’s about showing what’s possible when we nurture our shared environment and each other. Together with EcoForce Global, every tree planted at Mangarara becomes a living expression of hope, regeneration, and possibility. It’s a step toward healing the land and reconnecting with the deeper rhythms of nature.
